Each area, from bedrooms to living room is on a different level, creating a sense of distinct space and atmosphere. Large air-conditioned bedrooms have their own private access to a pool deck or private garden and are at a lower level than the living areas enhancing the open style feel. As do the open plan fully fitted kitchens. All furniture is custom designed and interiors have extensive use of natural local material with palimanan for the floors, rattan sofas, wood and leather for the beds and rustic c otto n pillows. All villas at The Layar are equipped with state of the art audio and visual appliances. |

Designed by world renowned GM Architects, The Layar's design is a stylish blend of modern lines and tropical ambiance. The unique style of ironwood shingle roof is like a sail; with high points and voluptuous curves sloping down to near floor level in parts maximizing views and creating cozy areas. The curved lines of the 'sail-shaped' roof are reflected in the design of the swimming pools and in the rounded walls of one of the bedrooms.
